Wallside Windows Founder Martin Blanck took a chance on vinyl replacement windows after reading about the new material in the New York Times. Eight decades later, the family-owned Michigan business ranks among the largest window replacement companies in Metro Detroit and across the country.
Still family-owned and operated. Taylor-based Wallside Windows stays current making technology upgrades that ensure the high-quality replacement windows are all built to last. In just the past 10 years, Adam Blanck, Martin’s grandson who now serves as president at Wallside Windows, has streamlined many processes that make getting new replacement windows easier and more affordable for homeowners.
Technology has changed in the decades Wallside has been in business. But we’re still focused on making the best product possible – for people by people.
The company has incorporated:
· An easy way to self-schedule a free estimate appointment
· Internal digital tools to expedite projects and reduce the chance for errors
· Factory-wide robotics and machinery to increase productivity and improve quality as the demand for quality windows and patio doors increases
· Text messaging that enhances communication on customers terms
· A digital solution that tracks every process from sales to supply chain, ordering and install, service to billing.
Most recently, Wallside began sourcing materials from Cardinal Glass Industries. This industry-leading glass manufacturer has perfected the use of UV reflective coatings for glass that shows dramatic improvements in home energy savings.
“This includes keeping the heat in during the winter, and the heat out during the summer,” said David Schmier, sales director at Wallside Windows. “Wallside’s new glass packs also cut out most of the damaging UV rays that can bleach furniture, floors and artwork.”
Wallside Windows uses technology to create the best product possible, but it’s still a product made for people by people
For people, by people
In some businesses, technology upgrades can lead to job losses, but Schmier said there’s no danger of that at Wallside. Behind every enhanced product, new technology, tool or upgrade is a team of professionals with the skills to program, operate and maintain it. And Wallside employees build long careers –some counting more than three and four decades with the company.
“As much innovation as Wallside introduces, it is still a business creating a product for people by people,” assured Schmier.
