Wallside Windows was named Contractor of the Year by DTE Energy at a ceremony held Oct. 14 at Top Golf in Auburn Hills, Mich.

Wallside Windows has worked with DTE as a participating contractor in the company’s Insulation and Windows (INWIN) rebate program for nearly a decade. The program provides DTE customers with a rebate to install new Wallside Windows or patio doors that increase energy efficiency.
“We're proud to be able to say we've been named ‘Contractor of the Year’ in such an important category as energy savings for our customers,” said David Malseed, sales manager at Wallside Windows.
What’s more, on Oct. 21, Consumer’s Energy names Wallside as the “Top Performing Contractor Overall.” This big win came during Consumers Energy Awards Night at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.
Consumer’s Energy chose Wallside for this honor based on the high number of applicants who applied for its rebate program and high scores on customer surveys.
According to Consumer’s Energy’s own data, Wallside Windows customers received an average of $162 in rebates per job in 2020. And the work done by Wallside Windows resulted in saving enough electricity to power two homes for one year and saving enough natural gas to heat 12 homes for one year.
These results earned Wallside Windows a Gold level ranking which will be displayed publicly on their Find a Contractor website.
“We're excited to be recognized for these awards,” said Malseed. “It shows that our product is energy efficient, but not only that! We also participate in rebate programs that encourage clean energy practices and savings to our customer.”
