Wallside Windows is excited to build on its long history with the Detroit Lions Radio Network for this football season. For the fifth year, the company is the official window company of the Detroit Lions Radio Network.
Fans who tune in to Detroit Lions games on WJR News Talk Radio 760 AM will hear Wallside’s enthusiasm for the team with an announcement of the company’s sponsorship every time Kicker Matt Prater makes a field goal.
“The pandemic has really changed everything, from making and installing windows to football, but at Wallside, we’re as excited as we’ve ever been to be part of Lions football in whatever form it takes,” said Wallside Windows Chief of Staff Adam Blanck. “After 76 years in business, Wallside now spans three generations of football fans. We’re really proud of the title the official window of the Detroit Lions Radio Network.”
The feeling is mutual for those at the radio station.
“I’ve been working with the Stanford, Adam and the entire Blanck family, and Wallside Windows since the Detroit Lions returned to their radio home News Talk 760 WJR five years ago,” said Steve Finateri, vice president and market manager of Detroit Lions Radio Network. “We all know them through their advertising, but getting to know the family and the entire Wallside team has really been a privilege.”
Wallside continues to be a family-owned and run company, with its custom vinyl replacement windows manufactured at its Taylor, Michigan factory.
“They are an impressive hometown manufacturer and employer of so many Michiganders,” Steve said. “They take immense pride in building a quality product, offering it a great price and helping their customers protect and beautify their homes for years to come. They serve their clients to the very best of their ability, but believe in giving back by also serving the community as one of Michigan’s foremost philanthropic organizations. It just plain feels good to partner with Wallside Windows.”
For Wallside, the continued connection with the Lions is a natural fit. In 2018, retired Detroit Lions Kicker Jason Hanson visited Wallside employees. It was a thrill for the whole company, including the Blanck family, who are lifelong fans.
“My dad, Co-owner Stanford Blanck, and I were actually at the very first game at Ford Field,” Adam Blanck recalled. “The Lions are in our DNA.
Be sure to catch the Lions season opener against the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13, on WJR 760. GO LIONS!
