Todd Murphy, plant manager at Wallside Windows, wants you to know if you’re out there job-hunting, Michigan’s premier window manufacturer is hiring.

“We’re in need of good, quality employees,” said Murphy, who has been with the company for 22 years and was recently promoted to his new position. “With all the talk now of people who are looking for jobs, there is work if you’re looking for a company where you might spend the next 20 years of your career.”
Wallside Windows will host its first-ever Hiring Fair from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. The event takes place at the company’s outdoor campus located at 27000 Trolley Industrial Drive in Taylor, Michigan.
Wallside is hiring 15 new personnel for its window assembly lines at The Factory. Positions will include receiving, hi-lo operators, general assembly, machinery and “a little bit of everything,” said Murphy.
He says the Wallside team is on the lookout for individuals who are “dependable, willing to learn and excited to be part of the manufacturing profession.”
All interviews will be conducted on-site, outdoors, under the cover of tented interview stations.
“We at Wallside Windows know that Michigan is one of the greatest manufacturing states in the country,” said Adam Blanck, Wallside Windows chief of staff. “We’ve been manufacturing windows in this state for 76 years and are excited to offer these job opportunities right here in our own community.”
Wallside staff will provide all necessary training, so no prior experience is required. Murphy said those individuals who work well as a team are the best fit for the Wallside family.
“We all do what it takes to get the job done well,” he said. “The owners, the Blanck family, does a very good job welcoming new employees. You don’t get an ID number. At some point you’ll talk directly with the owner of the company. Or Adam (Blanck) comes around and asks us how we are. He checks in on the Wallside Family Facebook group. They want to be part of your day-to-day. These are things you won’t find everywhere.”
Candidates who plan to attend the Hiring Fair should reserve a spot ahead of time. Wallside Windows expects to hire new team members on the spot. Those hired can expect to start as soon as possible and will earn $12 per hour to start, with structured pay increases to follow. Immediate offers will be made to qualified candidates.
