There’s no avoiding it. Spring cleaning time is here. And while those seasonal chores we do to spruce up our homes can be exhausting, Wallside Windows helps make one task so much simpler.
When it comes to cleaning your Wallside Windows, there’s no need to lug out the big ladder to reach every angle from outdoors. Most styles of Wallside Windows are made to open inward for easy access and cleaning. Child safety latches even limit how far our Wallside Windows open for that extra peace of mind with family at home.
Wallside’s popular double hung windows open from the top or the bottom and swing inward to clean. Our casements open outward and allow you to easily reach both sides of the glass. Do you have center or end vent sliding windows? Did you know you can just lift out the sash for easy cleaning? Unlock the window and raise the bottom sash out of the track.
Our more recent windows come included with the first flexible window screens, by FlexScreen. It’s just as easy to pop these screens in and out for cleaning.
Keeping windows, screens and window sills clean will enhance the durability and allow them to stay functional and efficient even longer.
We suggest washing your Wallside Windows with equal parts dish soap and room temperature water. Dip a soft, microfiber cloth into the solution, wring it out and use circular motions to clean and polish the glass. It’s that easy.
If you see mold or mildew begin to accumulate outside the window, a solution of 70 percent water and 30 percent vinegar is all you need to clean and disinfect it. Be sure to clean and lubricate your window tracks regularly, too. Minimal maintenance and you’ve got high quality home windows for decades to come.
