HOW TO: Measure for New Windows

There are a lot of old windows in homes all across America. Though they may give a home a rustic look, they will all need to be replaced at some point.

In this short video, a window expert shows viewers how to measure for new windows. After going over the anatomy of a wooden window fixture, he shows homeowners where to place the tape measure for the most accurate measurement. It’s important to take a quarter of an inch off of every measurement to allow for flexibility and expansion with temperature changes.

Wallside Windows Review | "No Time was Wasted with Their Efficiency and Skill" (313) 908-5243

"Dear Sir,

Thank you for hiring an excellent contractor to install two homes of your Wal-Side Windows, today, May 28th in Harbor Beach. Very professional was their work which included care taken to insure my homes were kept clean with tarps, removing all the used materials around the yard, and even helping me replace my drapes and curtains. No time was wasted with their efficiency and skill. The excellent product you manufacture is something I can be proud to own and use for years. Gladly, I will refer your company to my friends, and will assure them the installation will be efficient and professional, and they will be very satisfied with the quality of your windows.

Florene Z."

Tips for Choosing the Right Windows

Replacement windows can be a considerable investment; but today’s windows and frames offer more energy efficiency and durability than ever before, so any initial investment soon pays for itself in energy savings. Since your new windows will last for decades, pick out a style and a material that really suit your home.

As illustrated in this video clip, you can install fixed pane, sliding, casement, or bay windows. Each style has its advantages and can come in vinyl, aluminum, fiberglass, or wood. Although wood is more expensive, it creates a beautiful finished product.
